To my coworkers in my department: Please realize that even though you don't hear Spanish come out of my mouth, that doesn't mean that I don't understand it. I DO know what "PUTA" means.
To my Spanish speaking students: Thanks for translating some things I didn't understand. I'll remember that when you are in between grades and I have the power of overriding a grade
To that jealous coworker who feels the need to pop her head in my classroom everytime she walks by: I know you told the department chairperson that I wasn't happy @ the school. Annnnd, I know you tried to take my job by telling the Assistant Principal that you felt a beginning teacher couldn't handle the self contained unit. Welllll guess what: I'm Stilllll Herrrrreeee! LOL
To the student body at my school: Thanks for not egging my car like you did some of the other teachers. It's nice to know that I'm perceived as a cool teacher. LOL
(added): To the School Board of Miami Dade County: Please realize that you made a major mistake in taking two days of our last paycheck and expecting us teachers to work without pay. Since you are FORCING us to come to work those last two days, I'll show up, but I ain't doing chit.
I will be watching The Price Is Right and reading Essence. This is just a fair warning.
