Unwritten rules for posting...

Being "yelled at" or not...

...I haven't said anything before this, but to me all that's irrelevant. I think more than anything else people's postings really show their degree of professionalism and support for the Greek community. I was VERY upset when I read the posts by SigKapSundevil and lenoxxx...it really says something about how you treat your fellow Greeks. Because of what you have said, I will never be able to respect either of your opinions again. It's one thing to disagree, it's quite another to attack someone or their organization personally. I have lost some respect for Sigma Kappa, which I had gained by reading the posts of others on GC. Your actions reflect not just on you but on your group, and you have lost your one chance to make a good first impression. As Tom Earp says, 99.99 percent of the people on GC are great, we agree to disagree and don't resort to personal attacks. Of course there's going to be a difference in opinion, we are human after all, but what you did was inexcusable and in my eyes you will never recover from it.

I suppose now you may tell me that you're glad there isn't a chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at your school, because you'd feel the need to run screaming if they were all as annoying as I am. So be it. I know who is REALLY brought down by a statement like that.

As far as negative nicknames go...I laugh for half a second, then shrug it off. I feel it's important to laugh at yourself but I won't post what I hear on GC, that's laughing at others which I don't feel is appropriate.

Killarney Rose and dzrose93 are actually two of my favorite GCers. I went to a school without a DZ chapter, and had barely heard of it before GC. They represent their organization well and argue intelligently without screaming and attacking other posters. Theirs is an example to be followed. Represent your orgs well. Think before you post. I've made the mistake of not doing so occasionally, and I am sorry for it and will not do it again. I did not find your remarks "sassy," I found them hurtful and was appalled that you resorted to swearing at a moderator. Make use of your college education and argue well. Show that you're someone of whom your GLO should be proud.
