I preffed Gamma Phi Beta and Alpha Gamma Delta. When I went home for a weekend that fall, I ran into Gamma Phi alum (Esther Dean Nyland, Beta 1919) coming out of a local shop as I was going in. She told me she was disappointed to have heard from the AGD alum who'd written me a rec that I'd joined her sorority, and I said, "No, I didn't, Esther Dean! I joined Gamma Phi!"
