FWIW, many women I know/knew would refer to a woman they did not like as "That ol' female dog" to avoid usage of the offensive word while still making sure the displeasure was expressed in a funny sort of way.  |
I usually just call everyone an asshole. Covers all bases.
PS-I'm totally cool with your voicemail saying that. Because my beef is with the voicemails that do this: "Hey, what's up?" Pause (which is long enough for me to respond with "Nothing, really, you?) "Nothin...but hey this is actually my voicemail, so leave a message!"
