Here's a poem I had to do for my brother participating in a Greek Week Skit, it has several facts about the fraternities and sororities that we have, and their members - it's not very good, so don't expect it to be, but it was fun for him to get up on stage and say - we used a Survivor Theme & sorry for the syncopation

Dear tribal council
won't you please
sit back, relax
let me appease
and explain to you
why I just might
Be the best for Greek God
on this magical night
For years ago
Zeus spoke unto me
and explained the benefits
of a fraternity
that the social aspects
are no more than a bonus
but it's actually a means
to give young people a focus
on common bonds
concerning ideals and goals
exchanging formalities
that no other knows
These are the ones
Who make life a success
And Greek Life is the brain
Behind the process
Just look at TKE
They’ve got the king of Rock
Yes Elvis was Greek
Now who would have thought
That he could be the brother
Of Ronald Reagan
Now that truly takes
A diverse organization
Every group is like that
That’s not hardly all
With guys like Mitch McConnell
Representing Phi Tau
Or Harry Truman
Who’s a Lambda Chi
Greeks tend to succeed
Need we ask why
With guys like Phil Jackson
Or David Spade
SAE should stand tall
Their road to success
Has been paved
Though I’m no Dr. Seuss
Or Robert Frost
(Both Greeks)
I hope that I’m getting
My point across
Let’s not limit ourselves
To fraternities
We are matched, if not bettered
By the sororities
Sigma Kappa sprout forth
The most beautiful dove
Cindy Crawford made men
Worldwide fall in love
And Georgia O.Keefe
Is a famous KD
The woman all actresses
Aspire to be
The list goes on and on
I could list names all day
Like Sela Ward, Bettie Crocker,
and Faye Dunaway
But my point is to show
That Greek life ensues success
Brad Pitt, the Sigma Chi,
‘s the best actor I must confess
But with stats like all but 2
Presidents were Greek
Since 1825
Shows the strength that we seek
The leadership in the system
Continues its course
Such that Greeks in congress
Still comprise ¾
And it’s not all ‘bout power
Or leadership skills known of late
Greeks above all others
Have the highest graduation rate
But even more than that
It’s ‘bout friendships for life
Brothers who are there for you
In joy and through strife
It’s surrounding yourself
By the best people locally
It’s associating with the people
That you’d like to be
It’s motivation to get up
And to deal with the worldt’s about being at the gates of heaven,
Smiling
Saying that you gave it a good whirl
