Thanks for pointing that out, Sandy! I don't want any of my sisters thinking that somehow I enjoyed keeping the news to myself.
If I've learned anything the past few weeks, it is that IC and IHQ has
very good reasons for doing things the way they do--although sometimes it seems like a mystery to us.
But, onto other things! I've also paid my alumnae dues at both the International level and the local level. If you want to keep Alpha Gamma Delta strong and competitive, paying your alumnae dues is an easy (and relatively painless) way to do it! Nowadays, $30 is dinner and a movie--so that is pretty cheap for a whole year's worth of dues.
I also recently sent in my pledge for the Campaign for Alpha Gamma Delta. I was able to break it up over 4 years, so I could afford to be more generous than usual. I even got a nice letter from the Foundation and Gale afterwards!
Leslie, you have a great idea about giving graduating seniors an alumna packet! Maybe that is something that IHQ could look into. That could be an excellent project for a local alumnae chapter--doing some sort of an orientation meeting for new alumnas.
