When I pick up the forms from our Panhellenic, I
don't contact the PNM when I write a rec. In fact, our NPC group cautions NOT to contact the PNM. So she won't know I'm writing a rec unless I tell her. And I don't know a lot of the young ladies for whom I write recs. I check them out via mutual acquaintances - my own network of school, church, Junior League etc. friends.
