The idea that drinking in letters is inappropriate bothers me too, while I'm on this tangent...men do it. It's encouraged for them. But for us? Nope. Not allowed. It's a big deal! Why? We never had a problem with drinking in letters, but we were not allowed to drink while wearing our badges or anything with our coat-of-arms.
