If I do know the Ja-Rule video you are talking about, I believe an important point (which some of you have alluded to) is that Miss Red-head Baltimore was not exactly innocent. She was a very willing participant. So, in theory, had her man been caught, wouldn't she have done about the same time? I doubt plea-bargaining would have done her any good. Thus, I guess the theme of the video was loyalty. And, I am sure the promise of riches helped make her sentence easier. I can't feel to sorry for the fictional character. I think she earned her own rap, and made a financial decision.
That being said, if any person decides to take the rap for anyone else, that persons has only himself or herself to blame. In my better moments, I dream of being so chilvarous that I do such for the love of my life. In reality, I am relieved that I won't have to make that decision. There is something about non-consensual physical relationships in prison that make you appreciate a law-abiding woman. Loyalty should not have to bow to the law.
