LOL I know that the current style is the short stemmed, ribbon tied bouquets, and yes, they would have to be carried in a clutch move. But in case you doubt me (I learned this trick from my aunts, one who studied to become a Miss America) (they were both models):

If you work in a city, buy a bouquet of flowers and walk down the street holding them in the one way, then do it again, holding them in another. Men will almost always comment on flowers carried over the arm (Miss America), not-so-much on the clutch or Statue of Liberty style. Or, as my one aunt would say, how would you carry a box of flowers? Up and down?

Personally, I think it's that your self confidence level is much higher, but of course, I could be wrong.

Speaking of colors, I told my guy that, since I've already been married, the only wedding I'm willing to have is a late November/early December wedding. My theory is, the church is already decorated, so I've just saved about $1k in flowers there. I have to find out the colors that his church uses (mine is burgandy & gold, but again, this is for him). I'm thinking either a hunter green with gold and tartan, or light blue with silver and white. There WILL be dozens of crystal snowflakes scattered about the reception and on the cake!
