yep. He's from a little town out here called Hondo, about an hour west of here, halfway between San Antonio and Mexico. A lot of people around here know him, alot of people are from his home town, or knew him in Austin.
He also graduated from law school at UT as well. So hes an attorney in addition to an actor.
I have seen him in town a few times. Downtown when they were filming a movie he was in and also was at Leon Springs Dance Hall the night he was really trashed and got thrown out for trying to go into the womens pisser. hahah.
He was roomates in law school with a guy named Matt Martindale, lead singer of Cooder Graw. Matt McC, fronted the $$ for Matt M. to start his band. As I said in an earlier post, my sister dated Matt M. in HS, and she was thanked in his liner notes, as was Matt McC. Just too wierd to see my sisters name and Matt McConaughey's name in print
together on the same page.
