A summer 2010 sample of “Southern debutante” news, traditions, and so on is available; this one's for Montgomery AL, and, unsurprisingly, it helpfully gives the college and NPC (or, in one case, local) social sorority for the debs. Ten of the 13 debs have sororities listed:

There are pics of the women in their gowns, descriptions of decorations, and more.

By my count, of the 10 identified as Greek:

5 – Kappa Delta (at Bama, South Carolina, and Auburn)

2 – Kappa Kappa Gamma (Bama, Dartmouth)

1 - Chi Omega (College of Charleston)

1 – Gamma Phi Beta (Auburn)

1 - Pi Kappa Epsilon (Local at U of the South)

Of course this doesn't mean that “all” the members of those chapters or sororities are debs.
I'm not sure how much being a deb means these days...besides a pretty dress and all night open bar (at least, that was my favorite part of the experience...but then again I don't plan on throwing any potential future daughters of mine into any balls)...but if you looked at that list combined with the several from Birmingham you'd have an entire stable of debs, just about all of them Greek.

Ouch. Now my head hurts.
