Giving you the benefit of the doubt; however, twice now, several months apart, you've made references to "ideal" or "good" chapters. That does not sit well with me, and I believe I can safely say it rubs other GC members the wrong way. That might not have been your intent, but for the majority of people, perception is reality.
UofA is competitive. Empty your mind of any pre-conceived ideas or beliefs about ANY of the chapters. Go into recruitment with a positive attitude and a completely open mind. Do not listen to the trash talk, the tent talk, the rumors, the gossip, because trust me, about .01% of what you will hear or read is true. I have the good fortune to interact with many actives and alums from many chapters. EVERY house at UofA is incredible, full of bright, involved women, and (I've said this before) I'd be thrilled to wear any house's letters.
Joining a sorority (or a fraternity) is a lifetime commitment that will impact your life in ways you can't even conceive of during your very short tenure at a college or university. It was one of the most important and best decisions I ever made. There is a bond that is shared among NPC and (for me at least) NPHC women, which I can't begin to articulate.
Good luck.
