In our chapter, we called them "probates" rather than "probes." I've also heard "probie" in some chapters. It's interesting to note, however, that we still call the ceremony by which a man becomes a "probationary member" the "pledging ceremony," and we still say that someone "pledges" FMA.

And yes, I can still sing "The Worm Song" on demand. It's actually in older editions of Sinfonia Songs.
