1: Did you drink in college unlawfully?
Nope, the drinking age was 18.
2: Did you experiment with drugs in college?
Bought marijuana by the pound (it was milder then); experimented with mushrooms. Some guys were stoned for weeks.
3: Number of socials a quarter (average)?
Maybe 3 semi-formal, but a party every weekend.
4: Average number of members at chapter?
about 30 - 35
5: Total number of chapters during your time as a member?
Six fraternities; 2 sororities
6: Number of times you drank in your house?
Didn't have a house. If the dorm floor we had counts, alot.
7: Rush Class size (average)?
Seven - 10.
8: Hours spent doing house related things a week?
Even in the dorm we cleaned up what we messed up, so 1 - 2, voluntary.
9: Hours spent being enebriated a week?
Let's see 24 times 7....just kidding. Actually it's probably alot LESS than I'd like to recall. We saw the sun come up a few times.
10: Hours spent on the computer a week?
Didn't have a ladder, so none.
11: Year of undergrad membership?
1971 - 1975
12: Hazed? (be honest)
No. It was already banned. (Officially 1972)
13: Old\ New?
I guess any way you look at it, I was in the old one. No house; no refrigerators or hotplates allowed in the dorms (no girls either, after certain hours). Study hours in effect, and one B/W TV in the lobby. But on weekends we'd tune up the guitars (we're talking P. Simon, Neil Young, America, Don McClean, Beatles, JT, Dylan, Elton) and get out the rum, tequila, etc. Even some of the professors would stop by and party with us, drink, and grub cigarettes. We had fun.
Thirty years later we still don't have a house but the chapter is strong as ever. I go back to visit and a brother with a rented house invites the actives over, but NO drinking. Okay. We head over there, and I go with them.
He greets us - Remember, NO drinking. Okay. So I go in the kitchen and grab some ice and pull my scotch out of the bag while the actives haul in cases of Bud. Then we tune up the guitars, sit on the deck, drink, sing, and have fun.

Has anything really changed? No not really. We're just slowly being forced into the closet that everyone else has succeeded in coming out of.
