If only it had been that prosaic. There was a lot of flapping around inside, big dogs underfoot trying to help me catch it, family outside freaking out, flying at the windows (which have those audubon decals on them b/c I got sick of kamikaze suicides and constantly cleaning my windows) and screeching and much celebration when the errant family member was returned to the ranks.
