Point A. Just because you "knew" someone for forever doesn't mean you are truly friends.

Point B. Even if you are truly friends, there are times when there are people you love having as friends that you don't think would be suitable members of your fraternity or sorority. Sorry BC, but friends DO cut friends sometimes. However -

Point C. If these guys really ARE your friends, but didn't want you to be a member, they should have manned up at the beginning and said "dude, as much as we like you, you just aren't right for PKT - but you would be great for another group, good luck and have fun, we can all still be friends." They wouldn't let you pledge for 6 weeks and then blackball you.

The dick move is not that they cut him, the dick move is that they took 6 weeks to do so.
