Needless to say I was heartbroken when I didn't get a bid... But I decided to not let it get to me and rush again in the spring. Well In the spring I went back to the house that I wanted a bid from but then decided I wanted a different house instead. I ended up getting a bid from the new house I liked and accepted it and went to the bid party and the first chapter meeting. However, after talking to my parents about it and my friends they all were not as excited about it as I was and my parents basically told me I had to pay for it all...mind you I'm a freshman working a minimum wage job... Being in a sorority was something I always wanted and after all that I felt like maybe I should just give up especially since I couldn't afford it even though I still wanted it. Also, at this new house that I accepted a bid from I didn't feel quite right there, I didnt feel like I fit in with the rest of my bid class and the older members. I thought it was just because it was all new so I took my friends advice who was in a frat to stick it out for a week or so, and did and still it didn't quite feel right. So after taking all this in the money aspect and the uncomfortable feeling I de=pleged. I really want to rush again not the same house and hopefully end up in the right one. I now can afford it since I have moved up on the job scale and have had time to save. My question is, is becuase I de-pledged are my chances hurt to get into another house? can I rush in the fall or do I have to wait till spring becuase I have heard that I can rush fall even though I got a bid but I have also heard that I cant. and last A house that I am interested in offered me a bid but I declined it for the house i de-pledged at... I think I may want that house instead but would they offer me another bid or not becuase I declined them once.

Any answers are appreciated.
If you depledged THIS spring (as in Spring 2010), you ARE NOT eligible for fall recruitment 2010.

You are not allowed to accept a bid until Spring 2011.
