As a Panhellenic woman currently at UF, I can tell you that (my chapter at least) does not have a live in requirement and that it IS true that many chapters' dues go down each semester and eventually plateau. Also, I have found that it is MUCH more affordable to go Greek and then live in-house than it is to remain unaffiliated and live off-campus. I have saved around $5000 by doing this.
