So must I
But seriously, this is proof of why sex education needs to be brought back into the schools. Obviously the parents aren't doing it at home.
I know some teachers are like "we have too much to do as it is" and don't get me wrong, I do, but as a leader for the next generation, I have to be aware that some parents out there just shouldn't be parents. We are in the "entitled" generation and the parents just give in and want to be their child's friend. They need to learn and be aware.
I started getting sex education in 4th grade. In high school, I had a great teacher who not only preached abstinence but said "if you're gonna have sex be safe and here is how you can be safe". But I was also the generation where AIDS was on the forefront of the news, so most of the high schoolers with me, were absolutely TERRIFIED of getting AIDS (as they rightly should be). Unfortunately now, AIDS cases are increasing as awareness is dying off. But sex education has gone the way of the dinosaur.
