Stay in touch with former colleagues, classmates, and friends (LinkedIn & Facebook are both great for this). You never know who will come through for you.
Do your best, every day, no matter the task. You don't know who may be watching.
Act like an expert and you'll be treated like an expert. Do your research behind the scenes and don't be cocky about it.
