Phi Chi at Univ of Chicago was named for Peg Crawford (one of my favorite PIPs) because she was instrumental in getting AOII chosen as the first NPC to colonize that campus. There are many other chapters who were named after influential alumnae, not just International Presidents (Auburn is another example), or even other collegiate chapters that assisted in colonization (ex. Kappa at Randolph-Macon helped colonize the chapter at Southern Methodist so the women at Southern Methodist named their chapter Nu Kappa in honor of Kappa. Both are now inactive.)

Ah, Peg. I have heard about her from our girls that met her at Convention last year. Maybe I'll meet her one day haha.
Thanks for answering my question! You're just full of knowledge lol.
Best of luck to Beta Zeta!
