We propose "giving up a child for adoption" as a quick fix. Just as this 10 year old has been turned over to state custody, adoption will do the same thing. We know full and well that a small percentage of children actually are adopted; many grow up in foster care, group homes and age out witha whole host of issues associated with being a child of adoption.
As for "two wrongs not making a right," well there aren't any amounts of wrongs to right this. Then again, according to your beliefs, this unborn child isn't a "wrong," and adoption is as close to a "right" as this scenario could call for.
Clearly we disagree.
