My rush was ...effortless. i loved all of it! I enjoyed every single house I went to and agonized over declining invitations, because I genuinely liked everyone I met. Fun, fun, fun was my attitude then (and now) and so I just made the most of it.

Not typical, I know, but wow, did I ever have a blast going through. I even overslept (napped) and was late for a party; I got there as fast as I could, popped in through the sliding glass door, and announced myself to much laughter and applause. I didn't know any better, all I knew was that I received an invitation and I'd better show up, late or not. That house did invite me back, and no, it wasn't Theta. From what I've learned, no way that could happen today in many recruitment settings.

Preference was agony. It was a very difficult decision. To this day I have remained "friends" and in touch with many of the women who were Greek in college. I can honestly say that the Panhellenic spirit is very important to me, and I've yet to meet a Greek (NPC or NPHC) that I don't like (well, okay, maybe one alum, a long time ago, she was... um... okay, enough said).

ellebud, this is a great thread! thanks for sharing with us.
