Actually, I used to have a tendency to check grab simply because I would feel uncomfortable letting somone I didn't know all that well buy me something (even food). I know i'm a bit different (
) but with me people have to earn the right to spend money on me . . . when I let someone pay for my meal it shows that I'm finally comfortable with them and trust them. I've never given up a check on a first date if I could help it, at the least I'd insist on paying my own.
