Some of y'all were on GC when I was working htere, but I worked at a law firm for the MEANEST, STINGIEST, SOULLESS people I have ever seen in my life!

I basically typed letters all day and at the end of the day packaged and sent out ALL The mail (all 100 or so letters).

My first day there they gave me two pens, and made me put my INITIALS ON THEM. IF I asked someone for a pen they asked me, "where is YOUR pen?" A ten cent pen!

My first week there I stayed late EVERY DAY. One day I was 15 minutes late and they actually docked my pay- even though they damn sure hadn't been paying me to stay late.

I lasted two and a half weeks exactly before I showed up to give them my keys and split.

It just went to show, you should never look for a job from a position of financial need because you will ignore your instincts and take it for the money, then when it's over you may or may not be in a worse position then you were to start with! Luckily I wasn't!

Then it is a great power, and fights small powers, but pretends that they are great powers, in order to rekindle the ashes of its ancient emotion and vanity.-- G.K. Chesterton
