My chapter prepared a meal together. The bigs and littles went out and bought (with chapter money) food for different courses for a meal. We only had 5 new members at the time, so it worked out well.
One big/little pairing bought ingredients for hors 'doeuvres, another bought stuff for a salad, another had appetizers, another had the main course, and the last big/little pairing was in charge of dessert.
After shopping, each big/little had a one or two sisters join them, and the entire chapter participated in making a meal that they all got to sit down and enjoy together
