I feel as though people want quick fixes and overnight remedies for everything. For example, people acted like Obama was going to end the recession and the war. The smart people realize that these things are compromises and good starts. Or, they can be complete FAILS but you never know until it either succeeds or fails.

For a lot of those people, the bill isn't a good start. If you listen to them talk, they are pretty angry, but it doesn't go beyond normal civil discourse. There is a faction in this country that is very anti-private insurance, and any bill that mandates every citizen buy a private insurance policy is borderline evil. You might remember hearing about them when they were completely locked out of discussion early in the debate when a single payer system was ruled out. These people are not appeased.
