Ok so formal rush is over and I didn't end up going through with it. However, there's going to be a new sorority on campus, gamma phi beta, and they're having informal next week. They haven't accepted anyone from the formal rush yet. My GPA is 2.53 and the minimum GPA is a 2.4 to rush. Also, I'm a commuter, but I will be living on campus this summer and next year. Gamma Phi probably has certain things they look for in PNMs. We are not part of the team that's conducting the colonization, so we do not know what your chances are.

However, I'd consider this: alot of women turn out for most colony recruitments (including freshmen with high GPAs from HS), and a 2.5 doesn't look so hot in comparison to other girls who will have better grades. That's barely above the minimum.

Of course you never know what could happen. Whether you should participate is up to you. Good luck.
