Over the summer I will get the proper recommendation letters, but what are my chances this time around? Should I get several... maybe 5-10?? (I went through rush first time with none since I wasn't familiar with the process) Would that show my interest fairly well? Would it also help if I make a monetary donation to the chapter I really like? I know it sounds pretty bad, but I am placed in this situation and I am very desperate. Would it help if I did make a donation?????
QFP.

No, it will not help if you make a donation. Has anything changed? Did your GPA suck and now you've done better? Are you participating in any orgs now?

Also, can you give us a bit of info about your school? Not the specific school you go to, but more like "I go to a small northern school with a not-very-competetive rush" or "I go to a large southern school with a pretty competetive rush".

What were the "bad circumstances" that you talk about?
