OMG my room mate last semester was the WORST!!!! She was a junior and I was a freshmen. She was from Korea and wouls call her mom at 7 AM our time everymorning, and talk and sing in Korean rathe loudly. She divided our room in "half" more like fourths, I got one, she got three. She showered for an hour twice a day (we shared a bathroom with 4 girls). Also she wouldn't let us leave the toilet paper in the bathroom because our suitemates may use it, um it was free and supplied by campus. She was also an insomniac so she stayed up till like 4 with music (often in another language) and lights on. She also would lounge around our room at any time of the day with nothing but her robe on. Who does that??? Those were just some of the things about her that annoyed me to death, Thankfully I was local so I went home on the weekends.
