Maybe I am indeed missing the point here. What is it you are trying to say? There is no true Greek Unity! People are inherently separatist by nature, in any social structure. But one of our goals should be as humans, while understanding that we inherently try to find divisions, is to still seek out and encourage the bonds of commonality that we all share.

The same goes for Greek Unity. Honestly, I really don't know isht about the histories of aka, dst or sgrho. I do however, know the history of Zeta Phi Beta, and I am very, very proud of it. Therefore, I have no reason to feel "unified" on a Greek level with any other sorority just by virtue of the fact we are all a part of the NPHC. The Greek unity I have stems from the fact that my best friend is an AKA, that the Deltas gave me a scholarship when I graduated from high school, that the SGRhos I have met have been MAD COOL to me and my Sorors. In other words, my unity stems from a personal relationship that I have with members of each of those organizations, which is how it's supposed to be. Some people are taught, or believe, that the only personal relationships they need to develop in the Greek world are with those of thier own organization, or with only the pre-1914 NPHC members, or only with NPHC members. Can I prevent them from doing that? Nope--they are in my prayers and I wish them the best, cause they'll need it--while I'm getting my network on and leveraging my many relationships, they'll just be blocking their blessings in their own little worlds. Trust me when I say that the only ones talking about "greek unity" are those who actually live it for the most part--hence why you don't see a lot of talk about on GChat or anywhere else.
