Two more to check off the list!
The Messenger - I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. I had heard good things about it. It didn't do anything for me though. It wasn't horrible by any means, it just wasn't great. Woody Harrelson was good in it but I don't think it was an Oscar-worthy perforance.
Crazy Heart - I was dreading seeing this movie. I'm not a huge fan of country music and what I'd heard about the storyline wasn't very appealing to me. What was appealing was Jeff Bridges. I love the man. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good Crazy Heart was. At times it seemed like it was going to be cliche but it would veer off into another direction.
Maggie Gyllenhaal was very good in it. Jeff Bridges was fantastic! I'm hoping he wins the Oscar for this performance. He's certainly been overlooked for far too long.
