I hate to break this to you, but letters are letters. It doesn't matter if they're stitched, screen print or sequins. And I guarantee you that no sorority has the word "stitched" in their bylaws or policies anywhere concerning letter wearing.
This is a campus tradition, not a truly enforceable policy.
