The spring rush is invite only and I was invited, but I am very nervous because I am overweight (5'7 and 190 pounds) and rush is very competitive here. Do you think that I have a chance of getting in since I have friends who will be pushing for me? Or will the sorority just not allow it because an overweight girl could ruin their reputation? Thankyou for your help!!

I'm assuming your friend's sorority is "top-tier". Sure your friends can push for you, but the
whole sorority has to decide whether they like you enough to extend you a bid. If other sororities are doing informal recruitment, I would highly suggest you check them out too. Don't just join a sorority because they are "top-tier" and have your friends in it. What if you really fall in love with another sorority participating in recruitment?
Wow. Why did I log in this screen name again?
