Because we just changed our GPA standard from a 2.5 to a 2.6 and I want to know if that is too low.

It's up to the members in your org. Do you want to attract people with higher GPAs? If so, make sure you have programs in place to help people maintain/better their grades, such as study buddies, library hours, grade-check-ins (is that a word?), etc.

When I pledged, we had pledge class library hours (at the same time), as well as additional required library hours (we signed in at the circulation desk). For those with a GPA below a 3.0, you had a "study buddy", usually an upperclassman who was in your major.

You might want to get a hold of the all-campus GPA, the all-Greek GPA, and the individual chapter's actual/minimums. Again, you should contact other chapters of LXA for advice. If you can't make a decision, use an aggregate of what others use, poll your members, or follow what other LXA chapters do.

Really, WE cannot help you decide on a number.
