Hello GreekChat!
I have some questions that my Greek Life office is unable to answer and was wondering if anyone could give their opinion.
First off, I'm a Sophomore with a 2.6 GPA (I had a very rough freshman year). I went through recruitment my Freshman year and was dropped because my grades were too low. So I took a bunch of summer classes and then rushed again at the beginning of this year with a 2.2 GPA.
I was given a snap bid by a sorority that 2 of my closest friends had just disaffiliated with due to a scandal (and I didn't click with any of the girls there... I was dropped by them on the first day!)
Anyway, I am a determined girl. Most of my friends are in the Greek system and I'm constantly at my friends sorority functions, the occasional dinner, etc. I know that I would be a good fit in the Greek life at my school, and I want to rush a third time.
I understand that this could be looked down upon, but I'm wondering - would this look bad? I have many connections at our sororities that I've made since the last time I rushed, but I'm scared to look desperate.
Could anyone give me some advice or share their viewpoint?
