Transfer will depend on how many credits you have and what your class standing is. Most PNm's that get bids at UK are freshman and sophomores. Juniors depend on the chapter but is certainly possible. Seniors are hard but I do know of one that went through recruitment as a senior with two years left and she got a bid to a top house (but she also knew people well in that house).

Grades and class standing are the largest reason people get cut and cut heavily during recruitment at UK. It is probably the least competitive of all SEC schools, but is competitive. You will need recommendations to all houses. Having said that it is worth noting that people with recommendations may still be cut after the first day of parties and do not guarantee an automatic invitation to the next round, especially with the top houses (and I will not reveal who those are so dont ask).
