Oh, I don't know about that. While I agree with you that it is vitally important that all organizations should take an opportunity to assess the where and how of the future of their organization, is it that our Founders' visions are not inadequate, or is it the leadership and membership of our respective organizations that has failed to fulfill the potential of the organization? Black folks were not only concerned about basic civil rights in the periods of 1906-1922. Certainly for Sigma and Zeta, we were concerned with the health and welfare of the INCLUSIVE WE. Is that need any less great now? The Founder's of Zeta laid out for us a very explicit and well-formed foundation to achieve service, scholarship, sisterly love and finer womanhood. I am sure other organizations also have a solid basis for existence. Again I ask, is it our Founders who failed us, or we who failed our Founders?
People are indeed different than they were even 30 years ago. Society is different. People's reasons for joining the "eventual Greek world" are also very different. I don't know if I can extend that to mean, though, that our Founder's visions are irrelevant.
