I actually dropped out of formal recruitment this fall and was given a bid anyway. I came to college not expecting to join greek life. I play rugby and met a lot of girls from another, much larger sorority and thought I might want to join them. I then decided that I did not like the size after all and decided to not finish formal recruitment.
On bid night a good friend of mine from Tri Sigma called me up and begged me to come to their pref party because she and the rest of the sisters weren't ready to give up on me. I came to the party, and everyone was just as nice as I remembered. I felt comfortable with them in a way that I don't think I would ever feel with any of the other sororities on campus.
Needless to say I joined and the rest is history. I'm absolutely sure that I made the right choice! <3
