How in the world can a university dictate a MANDATORY "service" project to an organization? Service becomes servitude at that point. Watch out for that 'minimum standards' stuff. They tried to forcibly install something called the Delaware Plan at our school and alumni lawyers met with the university and explained that it would be a civil rights violation to impose this sort of thing on people who don't want it. The university immediately suspended their plan. For the record, we have a good relationship between the university and the fraternities, but once in awhile the greek admintrators come up with strange stuff that would be obviously illegal if they tried to push it on anyone else.
