I am entering my second year as the Hawaii Alumnae Panhellenic President and previously served two years as VP Scholarship.

We also hold monthly meetings, but ours cover September through May. We also hold an executive meeting in July to set the calendar for the upcoming year.

We do three fundraisers....

We sell Entertainment books. (Doesn't bring in much money, but every bit helps.)

We hold a Card Party in January. Bridge players pay to come play bridge at a local country club. Price includes a light lunch, beverages, a door prize, and a visit or two (sometimes even three) to our white elephant table. We also have a used book sale on the side to help drum up some extra cash.

We have a Spring Luncheon each May, which is our biggest fundraiser. At the luncheon, we present our scholarships, have a fashion show, serve lunch, sell raffle tickets, and hold a silent auction made up of gift baskets. Donations are received from all of our members and solicited from local vendors.

We awarded 8 scholarships (4 collegiate and 4 to graduating high school seniors) this year. It varies year to year depending on what funds we have available and the number of applicants.

I'm happy to share any more info! Let me know what you need!

Warmest,
Mai Ly
