I was going to say, if you have a choice, the rec from that chapter or local alumnae association is probably better than the one from 1,000 miles away - but with a disclaimer. If you do know someone personally who is an alumna of XYZ but not from that school, send two. The local to the chapter rec will show that you did your homework, but the personal one will say how wonderful you are and how their chapter can't do without you!
