I left my heart...in San Francisco...the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Cable Cars, Great Restaurants, Haight/Ashbury, Cal Berkeley, Stanford, the SF 49'ers, the SF Giants, the Oakland A's, the Oakland Raiders (Just Win, Baby!), Monterrey, Carmel, Marin... Not to even mention the diversity that you find here, which is what life is about! I could go on and on. Hell, even the earthquakes are interesting! The cost of living is high, but so are the rewards, and there is much more open space than in New York. If you want the experience of a truly great area (Conde Nast Magazine always calls it the best place in the world), Go West, Young Man (thank you Horace Greeley, and the Village People)
