Plug for Texas
If you've never been here, ya gotta take a route that takes you through texas, and not I-40 through Amarillo. I grew up in amarillo, and its not Texas. Its the part of texas Oklahoma didnt want. You need to see the real texas... Austin, San Antonio, Dallas or even Houston.
Take the interstates to I-44 in St. Louis, following it don through joplin (beautiful Drive), then to tulsa and OKC. There turn south on I-35 to Dallas, then to Austin and San Antonio. Overnight in SA, visit the Alamo, and Riverwalk (texas most visited tourist site), then hop on I-10 for the 12 hour drive out to Phoenix. Seeing El Paso on the way.
gotta see texas.
