I hate it too. But just because the campus rag prints her little stories doesn't mean anything long-term. I graduated from one of the top journalism schools in the nation, and the majority of students abhor the campus paper. It's mainly run by underclassmen and reflects their starry-eyed dream of reporting "cracks" in the institution. However, the students who have actually been ADMITTED to the j-school report for one of the town newspapers, newsy.com, or the local NBC affiliate. The campus paper is a quaint little embarrassment we all tolerate for the sake of tradition.
