Yeah, that's kind of been my mindset too. I've always been the type who enjoyed having a diverse group of friends, and in high school I was just as at home hanging with the jocks as with the anime kids. It just annoys me when one group of friends gives me crap for being friends with another group because I feel like true friends shouldn't care who else you associate with. And the thing is, its not even all of Kilmer, it's just that one guy (hell the Kilmer president wished me luck with Bogart!) but I can't help but feel like he may have a point. My mindset throughout my rush/recruitment experience has been "this is a major life decision that you can't go back on, so make sure you know what you're getting into and that you make the right choice." To that end I've talked to everyone who I thought I could see myself with, and attended what events I got invited to (that's another thing, I don't seek this stuff out, it seems to find me). I'm starting to wonder if some might see that strategy as me being a "letter-whore" or what have you. I'm certainly not only in it for the letters; quite the contrary most of the reasons I want to experience Greek life have to do with helping the community and forming a mutual bond with people who I can truly call my best friends. I guess he just doesn't understand that.

Sorry for the ranting, just had to get that off my chest.
