So even if eyeliner wasn't your first choice, or is a smaller group on campus, there is a huge opportunity for you to initiate change and likely more opportunity to get involved right away.
I think your attitude about going through with your new member period and embracing your sorority is great - I think you're right, the emotions will die down and you'll be better prepared to see what the group really is all about and if you truly fit.
