We also just finished up Greek Week at the University of Akron.
Greek Olympics was on Sunday the 21st....and along with it, came the rain. BOOO! So we sat outside freezing and wet but having fun. Activities were great, but the one that is the most competitive is Tug-O-War. It is always between us and ADPi. Last year they beat us 2 out of 3....but this year it was time for DG to win. We went undefeated throughout the whole competition!!!!! Plus having to come back from behind both times!
We also won the banner competition, the bowling tournament, the limbo contest. We got to listen to Judy Shepard on Tuesday speak about her son Matthew and her thoughts and views on hate. It was great!
Last Saturday was our Greek Recognition Formal at the Radisson. We had our awards presentation and DeeGee recieved three.....Most Panhellenic, Outstanding Campus Involvement, and Most Improved Chapter. We also have something else to brag about...(well at least I do)....because I won the Thomas J. Vukovich Order of Omega Award along with Outstanding Junior Member in the Greek System. Lets just say...I knew I was up for them but I didn't expect to get them, especially not BOTH of them!
We ended up raising over $2700 for the March of Dimes.....good job everyone!
