That "new guy" of which you speak is a troll, more specifically, he's a sockpuppet for another troll who likes to race-bait (for lack of a better term).

As far as "respecting PETA," many people who support animal rights don't even do that. PETA has the reputation for being more concerned with publicity and shock tactics than animal rights (remember when they protested in front of the dog show dressed as Klansmen?); furthermore, their credibility is often shot to hell because of falsehoods that they have spread. They're not entirely against animal abuse either, since they want to have pit bulls and other "dangerous" dogs destroyed (they include Great Danes, which are among the most docile animals despite their size, in this hit list).

Most animal lovers respect the Humane Society and the ASPCA. Those are two organizations that have earned the respect and credbility. PETA? Ha!
